A touch of Portland to start things off right!!

Picture
I am a Portland girl, born and raised.  I'm obsessed with my city and as such, I wanted to feature the world famous Voodoo Donuts!  If you don't know - check it out!!!  voodoodoughnut.com

Our cocktail hour will be before the ceremony begins.  We decided to to it this way so we could take "first look" pictures as well as family/wedding party photos.  Our ceremony begins at 11am so this is how we'll work the schedule to make the most of our day!

As guests trickle in they'll be welcomed with a huge display of Voodoo Donuts and, duh, mimosas!!!  What kind of a brunch would it be without some morning cocktails!?

Menu

Seasonal Fresh Fruit Display
Muffins, Scones & Pastries
Chef-carved prime rib, au jus with horseradish cream
Traditional Eggs Benedict with Canadian Bacon and Hollandaise Sauce Served on and English Muffin
Smoked Salmon with Cream Cheese, Red Onions, Capers, Crumbled Hard-Boiled Egg and Toast Points
French Toast with Orange Bourbon Butter, Pure Maple Syrup, Spiced Pecans and Fresh Sliced Bananas
Herb Roasted Medley of Sweet, Red and Yukon Gold Potatoes

We're also having a candy buffet.  I was able to find apothecary jars at great, discount prices.  The candy colors will be royal blue, purple, silver and white.

Inspiration - but add royal blue

Cake...because you can never have too many sweets!

Because there will be tons of sweets to choose from and because I'm in love with cupcakes, I thought having a cupcake wedding cake would be ideal - just a few bites worth of extra deliciousness!!

I'd like to keep the colors simple - sort of like this cake because I found these amazing edible peacock feathers from an Etsy seller to stick in each cupcake.  I'll also decorate the cupcake tower with royal blue ribbon.
