As you might have noticed, there are mostly non-floral elements to our wedding. We were concerned about how the heat might effect the flower arrangements but it turns out to be a great money-saver as well! Added bonus :)
I love carnations. They are my mother's favorite flower and again - a money saver as they are not as expensive as many other varieties of flowers. My sister offered to DYI my wedding flowers. This is a picture of the fullness I'd like for my bouquet. I also found these amazing dark purple carnations that I'd like to toss into the mix!

Functional Favors
A fan will be placed on each chair at the ceremony.
After the party comes the after-party!!
Since the wedding is early and we don't want to stop the fun, Jered and I are hosting drinks in our riverside suite at the Avalon Hotel and Spa in Portland, OR the evening of our wedding. The suite is twice the size of our teeny tiny condo so we'll be able to have everyone swing by! I probably won't want to leave!
